Social networking has apparently gone to the dogs.
Doggyspace.com brings together dog owners from all over the world, allowing them to create profiles, and share photos and videos of their pups.
The Virginia-based site is 1 of a growing trend of niche, or content-focused, social networking sites. Those sites go beyond MySpace and Facebook, and target certain interest groups looking to connect with like-minded people.
Since launching the site in mid-July, Doggyspace has logged more than 700 registered, active user profiles - 73% of which are female.
The site's founder Levi Thornton says Doggyspace is projected to have more than two million accounts by the end of the year.
