Competitive Games International, Inc (PINKSHEETS: CGMI), an innovative and interactive media company, today announced that the Company is continuing its foray into the prolific social networking arena and has developed its own games application for networking giant, Bebo (www.bebo.com).
The Competitive Games Bebo application -- MoneyWord -- has been beta tested, developed, and is now available to all Bebo members. The new application will provide all Bebo users direct access to the games and tournaments offered by Competitive Games. In addition, each Bebo member will be able to upload the Competitive Games application directly into their own profile for immediate access.
Bebo, much like Facebook, is a significant social media network which combines community, self-expression and entertainment to enable its users to interact, communicate, and share content. Bebo is one of the leading social networks in the US, the UK, Ireland, and New Zealand. Bebo's registered user base is believed to be in excess of 40 million users.
In March, AOL entered into an agreement to acquire Bebo. Together with other facets of AOL's operations, the acquisition immediately establishes AOL as a significant player in the fast growing world of social media.
Julio Collado, chief executive officer of Competitive Games International, stated, "In much the same way that the Company's Facebook application is creating exposure by attracting new users, we expect the Bebo application to be equally successful. By creating a presence within the Bebo community, Competitive Games hopes to provide quality gaming options for millions of Bebo users, gain increased brand recognition, and attract more users to its own burgeoning membership base. Tapping into the social networking phenomenon provides a great opportunity for brand development, name recognition and most importantly the potential exposure to attract millions of potential players for our skill games network."
