Raketu Debuts Mobile Social Networking |

Raketu debutes its social networking integrated communications web application optimized for the iPhone®. The new web-based application allows iPhone™ users to participate and share with their friends, family and business colleagues.
"With the introduction of our Social Networking and Media Drive iPhone Application, Raketu is continuing the movement from traditional closed social networks, to open real-time mobile communications social networking," said Greg Parker, president and CEO of Raketu. "Our new application now makes it possible for desktop and mobile users to social network, contribute content, save their pictures, and share and discuss in real-time both inside and outside of the Raketu network. This is in addition to our integrated calling, sms-texting, instant messaging, and media services."
Raketu's iPhone Application is nntirely web-based. Using Raketu's iPhone application, users can contribute blogs, bulletins, comments and interact in traditional social networking style or in real-time. Raketu Media Drive allows users to store and share their user generated content -- pictures, videos, etc. Users can make the content private or public, and can share with other Raketu users, or outside the Raketu community.
Raketu also allows sharing with other social networks, including Facebook and MySpace, and users can make international calls, sms-text, instant message, and email totally free or at Raketu's ultra-low rates -- all from within the iPhone application.
