Placely (http://www.placely.com), the social network for travelers, launches a free service to allow members to make the most of their frequent flyer miles.
Placely is transforming social networking for road warriors and other frequent travelers with its capacity to geographically map friends, family and colleagues at any given time. The Placely mission is to create an "experience tool" for sharing travel logistics, updated plans and stories from the road.
"As a frequent flyer, I know how difficult it is to keep track of my miles," said Denis Khoo, CEO and Co-Founder. "With Placely, we hope users are able to make the most of not only their miles, but their entire trip experience."
Placely integrates all the travel-related features of popular media and social networking sites, such as Flickr, Tripit, Trip Advisor, Dopplr, Blogger and Facebook, into a single platform. Members can "experience" sharing travel plans and trip updates while staying connected through distinctive group features and a travel network platform. Placely users can log in, update their location and easily connect with family back home or find fellow trekkers to meet while traveling between destinations.
