Facebook Files Lawsuit Against German Social Network
Facebook has come out and sued the highly popular German social networking site known as StudiVZ. StudiVZ is a major player in the social networking industry, with over 10 million users. Facebook sued the company claiming intellectual property infringement.
According to Facebook, whose lawyers filed a complaint in a California court, StudiVZ ripped off their social networking site and its features, services, etc.
Facebook stated that the only real differences are with the color scheme, as the company wants to shut down the illegal activity of StudiVZ.
StudiVZ has stated that they have not yet received the lawsuit complaint, but is attempting to shoot down the claims.
The German site has fought back, stating that the only reason Facebook is doing this is because they have failed in the German market.
